We struggle to make sense of our shifting world, our shifting dynamics. Phil Irish’s collaged installations and aluminum constructions embrace this uncertainty and sense of fragmentation, while also providing provisional resolutions – a beauty and rhythm arises from the clash of forces.

Significant Collisions selects from several bodies of work, spanning 6 years of sustained exploration. Imagery references the Rocky Mountains, Alberta’s Oil Sands, as well as Irish’s 2017 visit to the arctic aboard the Canada C3 icebreaker.

Anchoring the show, 3 architecturally-scaled collages transform Redeemer University’s exhibition space with explosions of colour and undulating sculptural forms.
