About the workshop: Visual arts institutions are navigating an increasingly uncertain landscape: shifting public priorities, financial pressures, changing communities, and evolving expectations of cultural organizations. In this environment, resilience is not simply about surviving disruption; it is about how leaders learn from experience, build the relationships and structures that support adaptation, and shape the future of the sector.

Galeries Ontario / Ontario Galleries (GOG) is hosting a leadership roundtable bringing together leaders from the visual arts sector to reflect on how real-world experience can inform leadership, strengthen advocacy, and inspire collective action. Through case studies, diverse perspectives and practical examples, the panel will explore how institutions can navigate uncertainty by building supportive relationships with local governments, mobilizing boards as advocates, strengthening community connections, and working collectively to influence positive outcomes.
