Black History Month: Artist Spotlight 2025

This Black History Month, NPCC will be spotlighting the work of eight Black-identifying artists on our 72″ x 44″ digital display sign, prominently located on the exterior of our building. Participating artists are Boloebi Okah, Chimemelie Okafor, Ehiko Odeh, Imani Edwards, Kamorudeen Aruna, Krystal Ball, Njeri Gitau, and Patricia Ellah.

On Friday, February 21 from 7pm to 9pm, NPCC’s Second Annual Black History Month Poetry Slam is in our main gallery. Black poets will take the stage, share their truths and celebrate the power of spoken word.


Flâner: To Aimlessly Wander

Flâner: To Aimlessly Wander, is an exhibition that showcases the beauty of ‘smelling the flowers along the way’; of letting go.

This collection features works created by grade 11 students from the Etobicoke School of the Arts, specifically within the Contemporary Arts and Photography disciplines.


Time4Change, Art Activism and Gallery Showcase

Art Space Connect Gallery

This year, YWS is excited to announce a three-week-long gallery hosted at Neilson Park Creative Centre. On the final day of the exhibition, Saturday, March 22, Youth Without Shelter will host between 2 and 4pm the Time4Change Showcase featuring live activism performances such as dance, music, and spoken word from artists within our community. Showcase tickets are $10 per person and include food and drinks.

Their online auction will launch on March 4 and close on March 22 during their live T4C showcase event. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to YWS to help us support the youth they serve.

Established in 1951, the Etobicoke Art Group (EAG) continues as a vital group of practicing artists today. All EAG activities are run by volunteer members who enjoy classes, workshops, lectures, and exhibitions organized for their mutual benefit.

Quilt Fever 2025

The Quilt Fever 2025 show will feature an amazing exhibition of colour and talent from traditional to modern quilts and quilt art in all the galleries at Neilson Park Creative Centre.

Many beautiful quilts will be on display in recognition of the creative talent and skill of the Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild members. Admission is $10 at the door.
