Visual Art Instructor (Painting) – Continuous Appointment (Probationary)

The School Arts and Culture is seeking a Visual Art instructor for a continuous appointment (probationary).

Red Deer Polytechnic’s School of Arts & Culture seeks to recruit individuals who can enhance the diversity of our team, enrich the learning experience of our students, and contribute to the creative atmosphere of our community. The ideal candidate will carry on our tradition of excellence in painting and demonstrate a proficiency in and sensitivity to material choices, methods, techniques, technologies, and tools in painting. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and ability to teach introductory and intermediate Painting as well as one or more of the following:

  • Art history
  • Contemporary and traditional two-dimensional media including computer-aided creation
  • Drawing (introductory and intermediate)
  • Visual fundamentals (2D or 3D)

Visual Art Diploma
Bachelor of Fine Art, University Transfer
Bachelor of Applied Arts – Animation and Visual Effects
Bachelor of Applied Arts – Film, Theatre and Live Entertainment
