Call for Submissions: Renewal 2026

Submission Deadline: April 26, 2026

As winter gives way to spring—snow melting, days stretching longer, light returning—we invite artists to explore Renewal in our annual Spring exhibition.

This season of transformation is both external and internal. Renewal appears in the natural world and in ourselves: in fresh starts, evolving perspectives, and the quiet energy of change.

In the medium of your choice, interpret rebirth, growth, and transformation. Your work may reflect awakening landscapes, the renewal of the human spirit, the evolution of ideas, or the emergence of something unexpected.

We welcome submissions that embrace renewal in all its forms and celebrate the promise of new beginnings.

No size limitations, but it is strongly suggested artists submit a range of sizes.

All works must be for sale. All sales are subject to a 40% commission.

There is a $25.00 non-refundable administrative fee to submit 3 pieces. The submission fee can be sent via e-transfer to susanwallis@kos.net upon submission.

Eligibility:

  • Open to Canadian residents only.

Key Dates:

  • Show Dates: May 16 – June 7, 2026

Call for Submissions: Ravel 2026
Inaugural Textile Art Exhibition

Submission Deadline: May 17, 2026

Threads twist, fibres entwine, patterns emerge—and sometimes, they unravel.

Ravel invites artists to explore the beauty, complexity, and poetry of textile materials and processes.

We are seeking works that investigate the tactile, the layered, and the transformative—pieces that reveal the intimate relationship between material, technique, and meaning. Whether through weaving, stitching, knitting, felting, embroidery, or experimental textile practices, your work might celebrate structure, tension, softness, imperfection, or the unexpected journeys of thread and fibre.

This exhibition welcomes interpretations both literal and abstract: from detailed explorations of surface and texture to conceptual investigations of connection, memory, and the stories embedded in material.

Eligibility:

  • Open to artists working with textiles or fibre in any form.
  • Open to Canadian residents only.

Mediums: Traditional, experimental, mixed media incorporating textile elements. Size limitation for wall hung work is 36 x 48 in.

The exhibition will run from June 13 to July 5, 2026 at Melt Studio & Gallery, at Base31, Prince Edward County.

In addition, a minimum of 10 textiles artists will be selected to be part of the Booth Display by Melt Gallery at the Gather in the County Textile show at Crystal Palace on Saturday, June 13, 10am – 4pm.

Let your work unravel, entwine, and reveal. Show us how thread, fabric, and fibre can tell stories, evoke emotion, and transform space. No size limitations, but it is strongly suggested artists submit a range of sizes and price points.
