The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre’s 26/27 PAC Presents Season welcomes audiences to experience more than 80 performances across our four venues, bringing together internationally celebrated artists and an incredible showcase of local Niagara talent!

Exciting things are happening at The Film House:

Join us for Art House Theater Day at The Film House and the Niagara Artists Centre
Thursday, July 30 | 7 & 9pm

Celebrate Art House Theater Day on Thursday July 30 and experience two screenings in Downtown St. Catharines. We are screening Sidney Lumet’s Network at The Film House at 7pm and then catch an outdoor screening of Car Wash at the Niagara Artists Centre at 9pm.

Art House Theater Day (AHTD) is an annual program from Art House Convergence (AHC) that brings audiences together to celebrate all that Art House Theatres—and independent film—contribute to our cultural landscape: ambitious and innovative art that provokes, challenges, entertains, and inspires.

AHC is a coalition of independent exhibitors that connects, amplifies, and advocates for its community. This year’s AHTD ambassador is American musician, producer and filmmaker Boots Riley.

The Film House Expands its Programming of Contemporary European and Canadian Cinema

The Film House is proud to share that we are a recent recipient of the Council of Europe’s Eurimages Exhibition Support Grant, making us one of the only venues in Ontario to be accepted as members. The grant will support expanded programming of contemporary European and Canadian cinema, helping us bring more award-winning and internationally celebrated films to Niagara audiences. This support also strengthens The Film House’s role as a destination for diverse global storytelling and meaningful cultural exchange within our region.

The Film House continues to grow as a distinctive part of the PAC experience, offering new releases, documentaries, classics and community programming in downtown St. Catharines.

Our annual SPARK Gala raises funds to fuel the future of artistic brilliance in Niagara. Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with music, performance, community spirit, and connection!

We are proud to announce that for the very first time in St. Catharines, The National Ballet of Canada will perform their internationally acclaimed work here, in Partridge Hall.

This exclusive programme will celebrate the National Ballet’s 75th anniversary season with the Balcony Pas de Deux from the company’s upcoming production of John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet and The Future at 75, a performance by the company’s RBC Apprentices.

About the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre

The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is the cultural heart of Niagara — Niagara’s largest multidisciplinary performing arts centre and a charitable organization that exists to make the arts a central, accessible and essential part of life in the region.
