Six Faculty Opportunities – Cohort Hire 2023, NSCAD University

Join us at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and be part of an immersive, rigorous, and supportive academic community where people are known and celebrated for their creativity and differences.

As part of NSCAD University’s ongoing implementation of anti-racist practices and dismantling of oppressive institutional structures, NSCAD is pleased to announce a cohort hiring initiative of six faculty members who identify as Black, Indigenous or racialized.

We seek applicants whose practice, research-creation and teaching will support programmatic missions of equity, inclusion, social justice, decolonization, anti-racism, human development, belonging and well-being. The new faculty will join NSCAD in the following areas:

• Art History, theory and philosophy
• Fashion (3-year limited term)
• Drawing
• Expanded media
• Indigenous material and visual culture
• Design

The position will remain open until filled but applicants are encouraged to submit their application by February 18, 2023.
