Request for proposals – Website redesign for edmontonarts.ca

The EAC is looking for a vendor to develop a new website for the organization, as well as a brand refresh for EAC and a rebrand for TIX on the Square, to bring the box office and store more clearly into the fold of the Edmonton Arts Council (EAC).

The new edmontonarts.ca should bring all EAC areas together into one dynamic and exciting website that can be easily managed and updated by EAC staff. The digital interface will encourage visitors to interact with the many services and program areas offered by the EAC and should seamlessly integrate external applications for functional application needs (Tessitura, SmartSimple).

The refresh of the EAC brand will modernize the image of the organization, depicting a bold, exciting, equitable and inclusive arts council that is creative, takes risks, and is embedded in the community. TIX will be rebranded to be more clearly a part of the organization, reflecting its role as a core service provider and community hub for the EAC.

  • Build partnerships and initiate projects that strengthen our community.
  • Create awareness of the quality, variety and value of artistic work produced in Edmonton.

Some core activities of the EAC include but are not limited to: administration of the City of Edmonton Public Art Policy; conservation and management of the Public Art Collection; management of investment programs for artists and arts and festival organizations on behalf of the City of Edmonton; community programming, such as neighbourhood revitalization activities and Churchill Square Happenings; and management of TIX on the Square, which provides high-visibility, low cost retail space to emerging and established artists in Edmonton.
