Our Blue Planet: Open Juried Exhibition and Sale
Presented by: Humber Valley Art Club
November 8 to November 28, 2021
Humber Valley Art Clubs’ Blue Planet Open Juried Exhibition and Sale is a fundraiser for World Wildlife Fund Canada.
The planet that we love is under threat. Species extinction is happening now. The world is getting hotter with more fires, floods and drought. We need to change our relationship to the natural world that sustains us. The climate crisis and the plastic crisis are real. We are the cause. But we can also be the solution.
Time is short. Spread the word. Green the planet for our children and for our grandchildren.

Oliver Tiura Action Sculpture
Preview: November 8 to November 28, 2021
Exhibition: November 30 to December 19, 2021
Presented by: Oliver Tiura
Oliver Tiura is a former Professor and a senior Canadian sculptor of Finnish origin. To date he has had over seventy-five solo and group exhibitions in a variety of countries including Mexico, France, Italy, Switzerland, the US, and Canada. He works in a wide variety of sculptural and 2-D media.
His working method is analogous to the Abstract Expressionists. Gestural statements of instant inclinations, accomplished from the deep experiences of his life’s learnings. They are, in a very real sense, ACTION SCULPTURE. As with expressionism, they are spontaneously created, changed, twisted, turned until his soul is satisfied at both the progression and the ever changing results to the point of completion.
Connections
November 29 to December 19, 2021
Presented by: Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild
The theme of Connections is explored in this exhibition. See quilting and other fibre arts inspired by connections whether it is a logical sequence, a notion of association, or a relationship.
