Neilson Park Creative Centre (NPCC) welcomes you back to its galleries and studio spaces for the Fall of 2020! We are excited to offer the following exhibitions and events in our galleries from September to December 2020.

Featuring artworks from Neilson Park Creative Centres’ Young Creators

imagineTHAT! 2020 highlights the artworks of young artists (ages 5 – 12) who have attended our 2020 summer camps at Neilson Park Creative Centre. The exhibition features drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, sketches, weavings, animation and more from our weekly themed summer art camps.

Currently, Darlene Kulig is focusing her creative efforts on developing a recognizable, signature Kulig Canadian landscape, as well as traveling with an eye for her next painting series. A member of the Etobicoke Art Group and Neilson Park Creative Centre where she studies and paints, you can find her work in galleries across Canada and the United States as well as private collections around the world.

On view from September 28th – October 18th, Overzealous is thrilled to present Overzealous Re-Imagined.

Overzealous was established in January of 2016 to encourage art appreciation throughout Southern Ontario and beyond. Overzealous facilitates the presentation of artwork designed to show excellence and creativity through a major juried art exhibition.

Overzealous attracts artists from across Canada and the United States. The current show selected pieces from well over 400 entries and from as far away as Norway.

With every optical resource at our avail, perception is sometimes deceptive. Our calligraphers will display their unique takes on Op Art, and venture a little out of the conventional letterer’s realm. Will things be as they appear? Will your eyes play tricks on you? Will you be dazzled by colours and contrasts? Discover how at Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto.

The beauty of Canada is Jacintha Krish’s inspiration, resplendent with the sights and sounds of its constantly changing landscapes, florals as well as its people, imbued with the rich biodiversity that is uniquely Canadian. In her work, she focuses primarily on painting loosely styled impressionist images of the world around her.

The annual Highlights exhibition is organised for the presentation of The Etobicoke Art Group members’ artwork. Members are invited to submit artwork of their choice, created in the last 24 months.

The Etobicoke Art Group has thrived since 1951. The group works regularly in its home studio at NPCC and exhibits several times per year.

Members thrive in an environment of companionship, mutual exchange of skills and knowledge, and a wonderful sense of community. Programs are offered to challenge artists in the continued development of their skills.

Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild

Annually, the Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild challenge their members to create a quilted art work around a theme. This year, their quilted artworks will be celebrating the Canadian winter.

The Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild, a resident art group of NPCC, was founded in 1975 and has grown to more than 140 members. Membership is open to all ages, interests and skill levels. The Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild facilitates meetings, open studios, workshops, exhibitions, a Comfort Quilt program and a biannual quilt show.
