Expressive Arts Therapy Training Program: Fall 2022 Information Session
CENTRE for EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY EDUCATION
Now Accepting Applicants for Fall 2022
Information Session: (On-line) Monday, April 25, 5pm
The Create Institute Expressive Arts training program provides a theoretical basis in the field of Expressive Arts Therapy, while familiarizing students with those elements of therapeutic practice common to all approaches. As well as theory, we emphasize experiential learning in which students are encouraged to explore the different dimensions of arts-based therapeutic practice, both in community and in individual client sessions. We especially encourage intermodal work in our classes and workshops. We also stress an adult-education model where students are recognized as having the capacity to understand and shape their own learning process.
The Create Institute is recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY TRAINING PROGRAM
The Create Institute offers a three-year training program in Expressive Arts Therapy. The program is designed to immerse students in an intensive, arts-based educational process that is beneficial for their professional development as expressive arts therapists, as well as for their personal and creative growth. The curriculum includes experiential, practical and theoretical training both in class and as offered through a variety of practicum placement sites.
