Position Overview:
This is the perfect job for someone who strives to make meaningful and direct impacts in the community through the use of their natural organization, leadership and relationship building skills. You will be an advocate for the role of the arts and artists in building collaborative, supportive and inclusive communities. This position is focused on connecting the cultural sector through granting, outreach, support, education and partnerships. The position is responsible for the provision of support to external community event applicants and film production groups with an eye to building capacity within groups, as well as the oversite of the Arts and Events’ volunteer program. You will also support the full cycle of event permitting and reviewing all community event applications to ensure that all application requirements are met. We are further interested in a candidate that has experience working in multicultural and indigenous relationship building working towards right relations.

Strong organizational skills are required with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities. We are seeking an applicant that is passionate about the arts and has a university degree or college diploma in arts administration, cultural planning, community development or festival and event management, or a related discipline pertinent to job functions combined with 3 to 5 years relevant sector experience in positions of similar responsibility. A class 5 driver’s license and further knowledge of community events, cultural activities, initiatives, and resources in the Bow Valley will help you to be successful in this role!
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: $32.10 to $35.87 (based on a 35-hour work week). Pay rate will be calculated based on successful candidate’s related work experience and education.
