We are seeking textile-based artists, designers, and craftspeople to become members of our beautiful studio. Our membership captures a wide variety of textile, fibre arts, printing, and natural dye practices and we look forward to welcoming new members who share a passion for textiles and a desire to cultivate community around their work.

We are committed to equity and diversity within our community and welcome applications from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists who are interested in contributing to the further diversification of ideas and practices.

  • 1200 square feet of studio space for art, design, and production in the vibrant arts hub,
    401 Richmond Street West
  • Equipped for: screen printing, natural dyeing, sewing, block printing, felting, and more
  • Opportunities for teaching, and participation in studio programming at subsidized rates
  • Members take an active role in running the co-op and contribute to a shared vision
  • Fees: $300 + HST per month (year one)

Call for Student Residents 2022

Summer: June 1 – August 31, 2022
Deadline: May 15, 2022

Fall: September 1 – November 30, 2022
Deadline: August 5, 2022

We invite students from diverse communities to apply for access to our beautiful, 1200 square foot equipped studio located at 401 Richmond St. West in Toronto. We rely on our members’ and residents’ diverse backgrounds and perspectives to spark innovation and creativity.

  • Open to fourth year full-time art and design students exploring textiles in their work and graduating at the end of the 2022/2023 school year.
  • Students must be prepared to work independently in the studio.
  • If accepted, students are granted 8 – 12 hours of subsidized studio time per week for $50.00 + HST
  • Students who successfully complete a residency may be eligible to apply for full-time membership.
