Call for Youth Photographers: Snapshots of Mississauga

A 50th Anniversary Photography Contest, presented by Mississauga Library

City of Mississauga – Call for Youth Photographers

Deadline: Saturday, August 31, 2024, by 11:59 p.m. EDT

To celebrate the City of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary, Mississauga Library presents “Snapshots of Mississauga”, a photography contest which invites residents aged 12-24 to capture photographs of their favourite places in Mississauga.

Participants are encouraged to photograph the places they love and find meaningful in Mississauga including parks, landmarks, community spaces, neighbourhoods, and hidden gems.

To honour Mississauga’s history and celebrate its exciting future, every submission will be archived in the Mississauga Library Historic Images Gallery collection.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Teen Advisory Group, and ten finalists will be selected for the shortlist. More details will be shared in September regarding the vote for the final winner.

Submit your photos to showcase your talent and love for the city, and have your photography preserved in the City’s historic archives.

Submissions are being accepted until: Saturday, August 31, 2024, by 11:59 p.m. EDT

To learn more about the submission requirements, eligibility, and to apply to the contest, submit your photos on the Snapshots of Mississauga webpage.
