Four Open Calls for Submissions

All open call shows are non-juried. All work that meets our specifications (please refer to contract) will be accepted. Please visit our website to download submission forms. Payment is due on submission day. We now offer an online version of all our shows. Please send a JPEG of a piece that you plan to submit.

The Holiday Show

December 4 – 22, 2024
Drop Off: Sunday, December 1, 2024, between 3 – 6pm

Submission Guideline: Accepting artwork in all mediums. Theme is celebrating art.

Maximum of 4 pieces per artist (No exceptions)
Maximum space per artist 48″ x 48″ total.

The Drawing Show

January 8 – 26, 2025
Drop Off: Sunday, January 5, 2025, between 3 – 6pm

Submission Guideline: Accepting artwork featuring all drawing mediums – conté, charcoal, pen & ink, all pencils, pastels, etc. Theme is open.

Maximum of 4 pieces per artist (No exceptions)
Maximum space per artist 48″ x 48″ total.

The Heart Show

January 29 – February 16, 2025
Drop Off: Sunday, January 26, 2025, between 3 – 6pm

Submission Guideline: Accepting artwork that explores all matters of the heart – anatomical, biological, spiritual or emotional. Different mediums accepted.

Maximum of 4 pieces per artist (No exceptions)
Maximum space per artist 48″ x 48″ total.

The Textile Show

February 19 – March 9, 2025

Submission Guideline: Accepting artwork that features textiles. Theme is open.

Window Display Rental

The Window Display rental is another way you could exhibit your art at our gallery.

Gerrard Art Space is a community focused, membership driven, dedicated art space.

Our mandate is to support, promote and facilitate the creation of a variety of art forms, including visual, performance, music, poetry, spoken word and film.

Regular programming includes workshops, classes, and shows that engage neighbourhood residents and the Toronto art community. GAS prioritizes accessibility, inclusivity, and open dialogue in both its programming and outreach, working to build and sustain a creative, vibrant community. To emphasize our commitment to inclusivity, we regularly host call for submission shows that are non- juried and open to the public. We encourage all who are engaged in the creative process. Whether you have an art practice or this is your very first attempt, you and your work will be made most welcome.
