Call for Entry: NPCC’s Be Creative Pride Exhibition

Submission Deadline: April 15, 2024
Exhibition Dates: May 28 to June 27, 2024
Awards Ceremony and Reception: June 14, 2024, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Neilson Park Creative Centre (NPCC) invites youth and adults who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ community members to submit up to two artworks to NPCC’s Pride Month Juried Exhibition. The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Be Creative”. Be You, Be Proud, Be Creative! Two-dimensional artwork in any medium is welcome. Entry is free of charge.

Awards

Youth Category 12 years to 17 years old
First Prize $100
People’s Choice Award – A free exhibition in NPCC’s Emergence Gallery

Adult Category 18+ years old
First Prize $250
Second Prize $150
Third Prize $100

Selection Process

• All submitted artworks will be juried by NPCC’s Pride Committee members.
• Decisions will be made on the digital images submitted by the artist.
• Juror, Jonah Strub, will choose and announce the award winners on June 14, 2024.
• The juror’s decision is final.
• Selected artists will be notified by email by April 26, 2024 of acceptance into the exhibition.
• NPCC reserves the right to use submitted images for publicity purposes.

Submission Requirements

• Artists who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ community members
• Each artist may submit up to two 2-D artworks in any medium.
