Call for Entry – Earth and Fire: Clay and Glass Event

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 12:00pm (noon) ET

At the Museum of Dufferin, the Earth & Fire: Clay and Glass Event is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and local culture, featuring artists who work in clay, ceramics, and glass from across Ontario. This market-style event showcases handcrafted clay and glass creations, featuring functional, decorative, and artistic works made by talented artisans and makers. Visitors can explore and purchase a wide variety of unique pieces while learning about the techniques and traditions behind these art forms. Earth & Fire also features interactive workshops and a silent auction, creating an engaging experience for guests of all ages.

Important Dates and Details

  • Call for Submission Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 12:00pm (noon) ET
  • Acceptance/Decline Notification: Saturday, July 11, 2026
  • Day of Event: Saturday, September 19, 2026, 9:00am – 3:00pm
    ◦  Vendor Arrival: September 19, 7:30am – 8:50am (arrival times are booked by vendors through a provided sign-up link).
    ◦  Vendor Departure: September 19, 3:00pm – 4:30pm
  • Vendor Fee Upon Acceptance: $50.00 + HST ($56.50)

Jurying

  • Applications are reviewed by MoD staff for completeness, relevance, and overall quality before advancing to the external jury. Not all applications will move past the initial review stage.
  • A panel of artists juries the submissions, with Museum of Dufferin staff acting as administrators.
  • Submissions are evaluated based on:
    ◦  Quality of work
    ◦  Execution and craftsmanship
    ◦  Variety of mediums and products
    ◦  Space limitations
  • Mass-produced products will not be accepted.
  • Due to the volume of applications, individual feedback will not be provided after the jurying process.

How to Enter

  • Carefully read the Call for Entry page on the Museum of Dufferin’s website to familiarize yourself with the application process, event details, and the MoD’s terms and conditions.
  • Fill out the application form at the bottom of the Call for Entry webpage
  • Submit no more than four photos of your work to accompany your application. Not submitting photos will disqualify your application from the jurying process.
  • Vendors will receive a notification of acceptance or decline by Saturday, July 11, 2026
