Call for Atlantic Artists: 2021 Parrsboro International Plein Air Festival

Artist application deadline is March 31

Good news! We’re ready to welcome you to the 2021 Parrsboro International Plein Air Festival – in person!

Restrictions prompted by the coronavirus have forced us to make another change this year. We know you all loved to visit in person, as did the artists, in past years until the virus forced us to go online-only last year. Now we’ve developed a new approach – PIPAF, the Atlantic Edition, to be held in Parrsboro from June 17-20!

This year we’re inviting artists only from the Atlantic Provinces to apply for PIPAF, and the 20 who succeed through the jurying process will get to come to Parrsboro and paint the beautiful outdoor scenes found along the Fundy Shore, competing for more than $4,000 in prizes with judging by Curator and Owner of Zwicker’s Gallery from Halifax, Ian Muncaster.

If you’re a plein air artist from the Atlantic region, apply by March 31. See our website for full application details. Otherwise, reserve the dates and make plans to visit Parrsboro to watch the artists in action and perhaps purchase some of their outstanding work.

We couldn’t pull through such a difficult time without your support so we’d like to extend our thanks once again to our local community, plus our sponsors, funders and buyers!
