Diploma Programs

Two-year diploma programs blend traditional techniques with modern innovation and entrepreneurship: 3D Digital Design, Ceramics, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Jewellery/Metal Arts, Photography/Videography, Textile Design, Wabanaki Visual Arts.

Advanced Studio Practice

For graduates and experienced artists looking to refine their practice, the Advanced Studio Practice (ASP) certificate offers a year-long, self-directed program to catapult your business. Through professional mentorship, studio space, training on everything from filing business taxes to pricing your work, gain access to professional development resources and award-winning instructors. Facilities for Creative Excellence

NBCCD’s facilities are designed to foster creativity, innovation, and technical excellence. The college’s workshops and studios are equipped with industry-standard tools and technology, providing students with the resources to explore their craft in a professional environment. The ceramics studios feature electric, gas, salt, and raku kilns; pottery wheels and workspaces for each student; a glaze kitchen; and more; while the photography/videography studio is outfitted with a lighting studio, editing suites, digital and analog equipment, and full dark room. Fashion Design features drafting, cutting, and sewing tables, patternmaking, and model-changing and fitting room for custom creations and annual fashion show preparation; Textile Design studio boasts 25+ looms, spinning wheels, a dye kitchen, machine-knitting equipment, and computer-assisted pattern design, and one of the coziest corridors on campus. Step into the Jewellery/Metal Arts studio and find students working at personalized workbenches equipped with individual ventilation, blow torch, space for fabrication, casting, and engraving tools, and steps away from the hammer room and innovative tools. The 3D Digital Design studio features high-performance workstations, 3D printers, and VR equipment, while Graphic Design students access industry-standard software and large-format printers. The Wabanaki Visual Arts studio integrates beadwork, textile tools, and carving stations, blending tradition with contemporary techniques.
