Call for Advisory Panel Members: Arts, Culture & Creative Industry Development Agency, Brampton
Call for Applicants:
Advisory Panel Members
Arts, Culture & Creative Industry Development Agency
Application Deadline: May 31, 2021
Join us in guiding the start-up and incubation of the City of Brampton’s first-ever Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency!
‘The Arts, Culture & Creative Industry Development Agency’ will be a key partner in delivering the City’s ambitious vision for arts, culture and creative industries as articulated in the City’s strategic vision and Culture Master Plan. This organization’s focus will be to incubate, grow, celebrate, advocate for and connect the sector through an innovative and forward-thinking range of programs, services and resources beginning this year.
The City of Brampton’s Culture Master Plan (2018) was created to establish a strategic path for a creative, expressive and connected urban city and the Agency and its Staff will help bring that vision to life. The Agency will begin as a project incubated in the City, with guidance and expertise of a voluntary Advisory Panel that will guide the start-up and eventual formation of an independent non-profit.
We are seeking five (5) individuals to join our start-up Advisory Panel, who will eventually form the inaugural Board of Directors for the new nonprofit.
The responsibilities for the Agency’s Advisory Panel, with the Senior Program Lead, will include overseeing the strategic and operational goals of the agency, building key relationships, working with the city and council to negotiate resources and report on progress, and form the necessary governance processes.

Please note: as is the norm in nonprofit governance, board directors cannot be financially compensated for their board service – therefore these are volunteer positions.
