How Community Voting Works

Voting is free and open to the public. Create an account or sign in to participate.

  • Each registered account can cast up to three votes in total during the voting period.
  • A maximum of one vote per artwork is permitted.
  • Explore the artworks and learn more about the participating artists before deciding where to cast your votes.

As you explore the artworks, we also encourage you to consider both the artwork itself and how it might translate onto a cap while retaining the character of the original work.

From Artwork to Apparel

Part of Artist Still Here is exploring how original artworks could take on new forms through caps and apparel, while keeping the artists and their creative vision at the centre of the process.

The illustration shows just one possible approach, not a finalized product. Any potential production design would be developed in consultation with the artist and manufacturer, taking the artwork and practical production considerations into account.

Artists retain the copyright to their original work. Commercial use would require a separate agreement with the artist.

What Happens After Voting?

After voting closes on November 2, results will be reviewed and verified. The preliminary Top 10 artists will then be contacted to confirm their eligibility and participation in the next stage.

This process includes:

  1. Reviewing voting results and confirming the preliminary Top 10.
  2. Verifying artwork originality and artist eligibility.
  3. Reviewing the Winner Artwork Agreement and Apparel Licence Agreement with the relevant artists.
  4. Confirming the final Top 10 artists.

The confirmed Top 10 artists will share a total of CAD $3,200 in cash prizes.

Community Voting helps determine the preliminary Top 10, but final confirmation is subject to the review and agreement process.
