Faseeh Saleem
Stitched Identities
On view until August 24, 2025
Central Branch, Glass Case Gallery
Stitched Identities by Pakistani-Canadian artist Faseeh Saleem is a site-specific installation that integrates sensory experience and autobiographical reflection through unconventional methods of artistic creation. Starting with blindfolded sketching, the artist removes sight as the primary sense, exploring how touch, movement, and material engagement reshape the act of making. This thought-provoking work invites viewers to reflect on how identity is formed through the silent dialogues between memory, material, and motion. The artistic outputs suggest an embodied, process-based form of creation—where making becomes a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and quiet resistance.
