We are excited to announce our Call for Submissions for the upcoming Cabbagetown Art and Craft Show 2025, our 36th annual celebration of creativity and talent in the heart of our vibrant community. We’re a community-based, volunteer-led, not-for-profit corporation, whose commitment is to support art and craft creators, to encourage appreciation of the visual arts and to give artists an affordable and accessible place to showcase and sell their work. By promoting Canadian artists, this not-for-profit juried show generates funding that allows us to give back to our community, helping to support local arts programs.

Founded in 1988, the annual Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show is a much-loved event in our historic neighbourhood. The show attracts visitors from all over the province on the weekend after Labour Day to Riverdale Park West. Located in the heart of Cabbagetown, the Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show has been a favourite of artists and visitors for over three decades.

Our 165 exhibitors are selected by a jurying process that ensures that the show consistently hosts the highest quality, most innovative and creative exhibits each year. At each year’s show we award prizes to 6 artists who are selected for skill, technique and creativity in their respective genres. Prizes are a combination of cash and reduced exhibit fees and our award winners are guaranteed a place in the following year’s show.

We support our participating artists with a comprehensive Show Handbook and support materials as well as extensive marketing coverage across the GTA. Our marketing outreach includes social media and our website, working with our local BIA, poster campaigns and postcard mailings to more than 25,000 GTA households. Artists tell us it is their favourite show, visitors tell us they love the variety, the laid-back atmosphere and the high quality and diversity of the exhibitions.

It’s an outdoor gallery where discerning art and craft lovers can experience juried exhibitions, talk to artists, designers and artisans and buy one-of-a-kind pieces from some of Ontario’s most creative talent.

Exhibitor tents line the park’s walkways, welcoming thousands of visitors over two-and-a-half days. Overarching trees provide shade, there’s a delicious selection of food for sale and there are picnic tables for family gatherings. We can’t wait to welcome you to our community. We invite artists to join us in making the 2025 event a memorable experience for both artists and visitors.
