Neilson Park Creative Centre is pleased to present Tanzina Amin: The Journey Home, the artist’s fifth solo exhibition in Toronto. The Journey Home invites the viewer to witness Tanzina’s journey of self-discovery. Her healing journey led her to ponder her perceptions of who she was and where she belonged. Along the way, she discovered that home is, in fact, within oneself.

The Etobicoke Rugcrafters, The Hook and I exhibition is their annual display of artworks. In the exhibition there is a variety of rughooking styles and the wide ranging use of colour and textures in the hooked pieces.

And now, she picks up the pieces visualizes constructed and fragmented memories. In this body of work, Dyer looks to insert herself back into the narrative of her own childhood, piecing the fragments of time back together, reconstructing a childhood memory with the consciousness of an adult.
