Invisible Threads: Stories of Mothers, Migration & Resilience

On view until November 10, 2024
Central Branch, Glass Case Gallery

An evocative solo exhibition by Par Nair, Invisible Threads delves into the lived experiences of diaspora and the intricate layers of intergenerational knowledge. Through hand embroidery, Par honours the resilience of women, particularly within the context of migration, and highlights the often unseen labour of mothers and daughters. Her work unravels the strength and stories of women whose voices have historically been silenced in colonized spaces.
