Becoming (in the light of the miracle)

January 21 – May 16, 2026

Guest curated by Farah Yusuf, Becoming (in the light of the miracle) is an exhibition about emergent phenomena, spanning deep time to AI. The artworks draw inspiration from natural systems, neural networks, and social structures revealing how complexity occurs from simple rule-based interactions to create a whole that is more than the sum of its parts. Becoming (in the light of the miracle) invites viewers to consider other-than-human natures, how they might cohere as entities and come into being. Featured artists are Alexander McLeod, Catherine Blackburn, Camille Jodoin-Eng, Diane Landry, Ingrid Bachmann, Meryl McMaster, Robert Hengeveld, Sarah Friend and Zev Farber.

Becoming (in the light of the miracle) is generously supported by the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario through the Curatorial Projects: Indigenous and Culturally Diverse program.

The Delaney Family Emerging Curator’s Prize: Metabolic Loop

January 21 – May 16, 2026

Guest curated by GAS Collective (Steffi Ng & Gizem Candan), recipients of the annual The Delaney Family Emerging Curator’s Prize, Metabolic Loop explores the in-betweenness of natural and artificial environments through the concept of metabolism. Metabolic Loop is a two-person exhibition featuring immersive works by artists Alyssa Alikpala and Maria Simmon. It foregrounds their artistic practices that render largely inaccessible environments such as peatlands, and invisible experiences such as metabolism more accessible, accentuating the tension and balance involved in translating natural phenomena into gallery spaces through technological means.

Exterior Mural
On view until April 30, 2026

In collaboration with Culturans, a Mexico City–based NGO dedicated to reimagining cities as vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable spaces, Onsite Gallery presents a new digital mural by Mexican artist Diego Santamaría (HIDROCK). HIDROCK’s mural The Shared Flight (2025) brings together the creative spirit of Mexico and Canada in a vivid celebration of connection and reciprocity. Two countries meet not from afar, but through mutual recognition—their stories, colours, and roots intertwine cultural worldviews to imagine futures that are resilient, sustainable, and profoundly human. The Shared Flight brings the bold energy of the Neomexicanism movement to Toronto’s streets.
