Overview
The Arctic is home to approximately 200 species of birds. Their return to the region in the spring is a major seasonal milestone and serves as the inspiration for this auction. A favourite subject for Inuit artists, we’ve assembled wonderful examples of avian-themed sculpture and works on paper by noted artists Kananginak Pootoogook, Latcholassie Akesuk, Abraham Etungat, Kenojuak Ashevak, Lucy Qinnuayuak and others.
