This weekend, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair celebrates its 65th anniversary with three days of art, performance, collecting, and community at Nathan Phillips Square. Bringing together more than 400 artists from across Canada, TOAF65 is a joyful celebration of creativity, connection, and the artists who make Canadian culture thrive.
A highlight of this year’s anniversary programming is Les Montagnes, a new site-responsive contemporary dance commission by Montréal-based choreographer and visual artist Marie Lambin-Gagnon, curated by Rui Pimenta. Inspired by Iceland’s glaciers and shaped by themes of accumulation, erosion, and renewal, the work transforms the square into a living landscape through performances throughout the weekend.

Visitors can dive deeper into the Fair through a series of free art tours, artist talks, and conversations, offering behind-the-scenes insights into contemporary Canadian art and the stories behind the work.
For families, Budding Art Buyers returns, giving children under 14 the opportunity to purchase original artwork directly from participating artists, while hands-on activities developed with the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto encourage young visitors to create, explore, and discover the joy of collecting art.

The celebrations continue Saturday evening with a free public birthday party featuring live entertainment and a toast to 65 years of artists, art lovers, and community. Adding to the spirit of giving, TOAF’s $65 for 65 Years initiative will provide every participating artist with a $65 gift card to collect artwork from a fellow artist—turning the act of collecting into a birthday gift shared across the artistic community.
Whether you’re discovering your next favourite artist, starting an art collection, joining a tour, or celebrating TOAF’s milestone birthday, TOAF65 promises a weekend filled with creativity, inspiration, and connection.
