Attend our Open House on August 8

Artscape is excited to invite artists and non-profit arts and culture organizations to an Open House at Artscape Distillery Studios for a drop-in tour of spaces currently available for rent. The Open House will showcase three studio spaces of varying sizes, able to accommodate diverse uses. The studios offer possibilities to satisfy a wide array of creative and business needs, from gallery and workshop requirements, to office space and programming opportunities for non-profit organizations, to shared studio rentals for individual artists!

1. First Floor Retail and Work Studio Space

Lots of natural light fills this workshop studio with adjoining retail space, while original exposed brick walls and open beams make this a unique 1,407 square foot spot to set up your creative business. More details here.

2. Large Arts Programming or Collective Space

High ceilings with open beams, painted brickwork and natural light are highlights to this 1208 square feet versatile studio space available to artists, collectives, non-profits or environmental organizations. More details here.

3. Third Floor Shared Work Studio Space

This 311 square foot shared studio boasts wood floors, exposed brick walls with open beams, in a community of artists and creatives. More details here.

Artscape Youngplace Seeks New Programming and Food Service Operator

Artscape is seeking a new tenant to set up shop in the well frequented community cultural hub Artscape Youngplace, in the West Queen West neighbourhood at 180 Shaw Street.

This 900 square foot space, located on the mezzanine level of the three-storey building, offers a perfect location for a programming and food service operator. Artscape is also open to considering other suitable social enterprise concept proposals.

The ideal operator for this space will contribute to Artscape Youngplace’s overall vision as a creative hub for 50 commercial creative tenants and owners who operate businesses and organizations providing public facing programming and services within the building.

Artscape Lofts at Waterworks – Call for Applications

15 One-Bedroom Affordable Homeownership Units Coming Soon

Are you an artist-led household interested in homeownership? Artscape will soon be announcing the call for applications for 15 one-bedroom homeownership units at Artscape Lofts at Waterworks (505 Richmond Street West). These units are being developed in a historic building in the heart of Toronto’s Fashion District, and when complete in 2020, will be home to nearly 300 residential units, a new YMCA and a public food hall.
