The Greatest Stories Ever Told

Hotam Press is pleased to release the complete set of The Greatest Stories Ever Told – 14 books in 14 languages.

The 14 languages are: Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese.

The Greatest Stories Ever Told is an artist’s book project by Vancouver-based artist Ho Tam. It is consisted of 22 stories written originally in English, in the styles of fable, nursery rhyme and poetry. The stories, ranging from melodrama to political-fantasy, are supplemented by collages of images from banknotes around the world.

Since 2017, Hotam Press has begun translating the original book into 13 languages, with each version reconsidered in different format and design. For examples, the Arabic version is a box of picture cards, the Catalan is printed on a scarf, and the German resembles a punk zine.

By popular request, the special collector’s set is available in a limited edition of 12 sets (595 CAD ea.). Each set is autographed and numbered and comes in an archival storage box, along with a catalogue with artist’s notes.
