The Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre (KOAC) in partnership with LEVIS Fine Art Auctions & Appraisals is running an online fine art fundraising auction as part of SURFACE AND SOW, KOAC’s annual fall fundraising event! Now is the time to show support for Western Canada’s contemporary art in nature destination with 59 incredible donated artworks to bid on by artists all across Alberta. Don’t miss out, as bidding closes soon on September 26, 2026.

Additionally, donations can be made directly through KOAC’s Canada Helps page, with all donations up to 100K this month being matched – doubling every dollar of support! All donations through KOAC’s Canada Helps will also receive an automatic tax receipt.

Inspired by creative and ecological processes, this year’s fundraiser title SURFACE AND SOW explores what lies beneath the surface and what can emerge when ideas, relationships, and communities are thoughtfully cultivated.

As KOAC’s largest annual fundraiser, SURFACE AND SOW supports year-round artist residencies, public programming, and the stewardship of a 20-acre sculpture park and ecologically significant prairie landscape.

Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre and Sculpture Park is a publicly accessible non-profit arts centre that focuses on artist-led lectures, workshops, programs, and exhibitions of local and international contemporary art. Established in 2007, the focus of the sculpture park’s distinguished permanent collection of Canadian and European modern sculpture is on large abstract works from the 1960s to the present. The goal is to preserve and showcase important carefully selected quality works of contemporary art. Among the monumental pieces already in place are those by Ray Arnatt, Roy Leadbeater, Michael Sandle, Charles Robert Boyce, Alex Caldwell, Katie Ohe, just to name a few.
