Super Natural: Place and Practice
Symposium, September 8 – 10, 2023, Vancouver, BC
The Canadian Society of Decorative Arts/Cercle canadien des arts décoratifs invites you to join us in Vancouver for its annual symposium.
This year, our symposium committee has assembled a dynamic curriculum which includes artist talks, curator-led museum tours, lectures, private studio tours on Granville Island, a guided walking tour of Vancouver’s West End, a private dinner overlooking English Bay and more.
Super Natural: Place and Practice will include visits to 9 venues, 6 private studio tours, and 12 presentations. Bus and ferry transportation are included. Join us to take part in this cultural experience connected to the heart of the city. View the full program and register here.

The Marian Bradshaw Lecture will feature a presentation by Canadian artist, designer and novelist Douglas Coupland. Accidental Career – Public Art will be presented at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Virtual access to this lecture will be made available to members and non-members alike.
