OCAD University’s Summer Workshops are 5-day studio experiences for young creatives ages 15-19 who are considering post-secondary education in a creative industry or field.

In this immersive program, participants will have the opportunity to spend time at our main campus, work in our studios, and learn from OCAD U faculty who will guide and support them as they develop their projects and portfolios.

Each day, participants will be in a specialized workshop that will help expand both skill and knowledge on contemporary art and design practice through a hands-on, studio-based and multi-disciplinary approach.

During the Summer Workshops, participants will gain new skills across different mediums, materials and techniques including:

  • 2D media and graphic design
  • Observational life drawing with life model
  • Experimental photography through cyanotype printing
  • Sculpture and 3D fabrication in our shops and studios
  • Printmaking process through screen-printing
  • Portfolio preparation for post-secondary admissions
  • Artwork documentation

Registration is open on a first-come, first-serve basis, remaining open until spots are filled.
