OCAD University, Toronto

This summer, OCAD U offers exciting ways for youth aged 12–19 to immerse themselves in studio life, with art camps and workshops led by professional artists and educators in our world-class studios and facilities.

Make It! Art Camp

Ages: 12 – 14
Dates: July 28 – August 1, 2025 | 9:00am – 3:00pm

Young creatives can explore drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more in this fun and hands-on 5-day camp. Campers will:

Learn foundational and intermediate skills in drawing, painting, mixed media, collage and sculpture through fun-filled experiences
Create in OCAD U’s professional studios
Participate in outdoor activities at Grange Park
Visit the Art Gallery of Ontario
Learn sustainable art practices using upcycled materials

Summer Workshops

Ages: 15 – 19
Dates: Three sessions to choose from
July 7–11, July 14–18 or July 21–25, 2025 | 9:30am – 3:45pm*
*Please note that the same workshops will run each week

Teens will push their creative boundaries in week-long studio experiences guided by OCAD U faculty, exploring various art and design media through hands-on, multi-disciplinary workshops in:

Drawing & Painting
Graphic design
Industrial design
Digital printing
Traditional linocut printmaking
Experimental photography
3D design and material explorations

Alongside the daily workshops, participants will sit in a talk with artist and animator Zebv Diaz, participate in a tour of our Onsite Gallery, and learn how to write their own artist statement with our Writing and Learning Centre.

These summer experiences are perfect for young artists and designers ready to experiment, have fun, build new creative skills, and make pieces for their admissions portfolio!
