Join us for the StreetARToronto Just Us Exhibit!

Honour and celebrate Black History Month this February with the ‘Just Us Exhibit’ opening at Worth Gallery on Feb 2nd (and running February 2nd – February 19th, 2023).

StreetARToronto is delighted to partner with Worth Gallery, The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Curator Adrian Hayles, and The West Toronto Photography Group (WTPG) on an exhibit, film screenings and information session spotlighting StART’s Just Us Mural Program.

Celebrate with us at the opening of the Just Us Exhibit at Worth Gallery (830 Dundas St W) on February 2nd from 7PM – 11PM. All are welcome!

About Just Us
The “Just Us” Mural Program aims to create awareness surrounding social injustice, equity, race relations, and community engagement. The murals involved in this program speak to historical and current social issues and movements within Black and Indigenous communities and the importance, benefits, and opportunities to build a better future through inclusion, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Curator’s Tour & Film Screening
February 9th, 7PM – 9PM
Meet exhibit curator Adrian Hayles and learn more about the works in the exhibit and his role in co-creating the ‘Just Us’ Mural Program. Melissa Hart of SaMel Tanz will share how she used dance to amplify ‘Just Us’ mural themes and add to the cultural vibrancy of our streets.

Just Us Artist Information Session & Film Screening
February 16th, 5PM – 7PM
Interested in applying to the Just Us art call? Join us for an information session to find out more about the application process, criteria that the advisory committee may be looking for in a strong application, and how to apply! Hear from StreetARToronto and muralists who have completed Just Us murals from 2020 – 2022.
