Public Art Call to Saugeen Ojibway First Nation Artists in Ontario

The Town of Collingwood and Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON) Environment Office invites Ontario-based SON artists to submit their interest in creating public artwork for the Raymond A. Barker Water Treatment Plant located in Collingwood, Ontario.

For this project, we are seeking public artwork suitable for outdoor exposure to offer residents and visitors the opportunity to connect with the continued culture, stories, and history of Saugeen Ojibway Nation People who have lived on and cared for this Territory since time immemorial.

It is possible that there may be more than one public art piece as part of this project or more than one artist or artist team selected. We are looking for applicants who can create an impactful work with significant presence. The budget for artwork is $120,000 and includes consultation, design, fabrication, installation, insurance, travel and other incidental expenses.
