Winter 2022/23 Edition

Beautiful Botanicals by photoED magazine – in print NOW!

photoED Magazine shares diverse Canadian photography stories in a brand new light. The small (but mighty) team is excited to announce the launch of the Winter 2022 edition curated by PEPPA MARTIN.

Peppa is a Vancouver-based gallerist, curator, artist consultant, photographer, and writer. She is the founder of, a virtual photography salon.

She comments:
“Botanicals are an enduring unifier; their beauty entrances all but the incurable.

The contemporary artists selected to appear in this issue have all presented unique perspectives and a mastery of lens-based image making.

My vision for this special edition was to showcase the selected works as we might experience them in an art gallery. Slowly, with contemplation, and with room to breathe.”

This special edition features a cover image by Anna Church, and an augmented reality experience for readers by collage artist Erin McGean. Select images from Ryan Van Der Hout’s incredible photographic series, Collecting Dust, are accompanied by a unique conversation between writers Kerry Manders and brandy ryan, who discuss the multitude of layers that this work presents.

Additionally, readers will enjoy a showcase of work by over 25 artists from across Canada including:

  • Phyllis Schwartz
  • Danny Custodio
  • Jennifer Long
  • T.M. Glass
  • Julya Hajnoczky
  • Sally Ayre
  • Ali Penko
