OCADU 3rd Year Sculpture / Installation Exhibitions 2022

OCAD University’s Sculpture/Installation Program — in collaboration with Beaver Hall Gallery — is pleased to announce the 3rd Year Sculpture/Installation Exhibitions taking place from April 13 to May 7, 2022. These multi-media exhibitions in professional Toronto galleries have been made possible by the generous support of the Nora Vaughan Bequest to the Sculpture/Installation Program.

Plasticity’s Field of Action

Beaver Hall Gallery, 29 McCaul Street
Gallery hours: Wed to Sat, 12 – 5 pm

Philosopher Catherine Malabou describes Plasticity as being situated between two extremes, the sculptural capacity to receive and bestow form, and the simultaneous explosive annihilation of all previous form. The artists presented, each a Sculpture/Installation student at OCAD University, are engaged in a similar adaptive movement; displacing and recomposing fragments of the world we inhabit as well as previous work in a transient expose subject to future detonation.
