OCAD University Summer Workshops 2025

Create in-studio at OCAD University

The Summer Workshops are 5-day studio experiences for teens ages 15 – 19 who are considering post-secondary education in art and design.

Spend time on the OCAD U main campus in downtown Toronto, work in creative studios and learn from our faculty, who will guide and support you in developing your own unique practice.

Programming Dates:
This workshop will run three times in July 2025. Please note that the program and content repeat each week.

• Program Option 1: July 7 – 11, 2025
• Program Option 2: July 14 – 18, 2025
• Program Option 3: July 21 – 25, 2025

Registration is open on a first-come, first-serve basis, remaining open until spots are filled.

What to Expect:
Each day you will participate in a different workshop taught and designed by our instructors, who are professional practicing artists and designers actively teaching in OCAD U’s undergraduate programs. These workshops take a hands-on, multi-disciplinary approach and help you develop concepts, techniques and knowledge of contemporary art and design. Experience the variety of programs OCAD U has to offer, get creative in our studios and make use of our resources catered to participants.

This year, the program will include:

• Hands-on material and medium exploration
• Equipment and studio demos
• A guided tour at ONSITE Gallery
• How to write an artist statement and bio
• A talk from an OCAD U alum and visiting artist or designer
