Open Studio’s Members’ Ink is a silent auction of original works of art—including screenprints, etchings, lithographs and relief prints—by Open Studio artist members. Members’ Ink also features a silent auction of prints from the Dorset Fine Arts collection and a selection of prints produced by past visiting artists. We are also excited to launch the Open Studio Print Award this year, which will be awarded to an Open Studio Artist Member whose work is featured in Members’ Ink.

Silent auction bidding begins Friday, May 3rd and runs until Thursday, May 9th. The Members’ Ink party will take place on May 9th from 6:00 – 9:00pm and the auction will close at 8:00pm.

The work available in the silent auction represents a range of both emerging and established contemporary Canadian printmakers. Both new and experienced collectors are sure to find something to add to their collections.

Raffle First Prize: Quvianaqtuk Pudlat, Mighty Bear, stonecut, 24″ x 38″, $1,200. Generously donated by DFA.

The Members’ Ink party will also include a raffle, a limited-edition tote bag featuring a specially commissioned artwork by Jenn Law, live printmaking demos, and refreshments.

Open Studio is an artist-run printmaking centre that has two exhibitions spaces, print sales and facility rentals.

There are two accessible entrances to 401 Richmond. At the northwest corner of the building, a ramp leads upward from the sidewalk to an automatic entrance onto the building’s main floor that measures 34″ wide, and with a lip that measures 1″ high. The other entrance at the northeast corner is less evident but equally, if not more, accessible. The automatic door measures 34″ wide and inside has a gradual ramp downwards which leads towards the elevators.
