Maximum Exposure 27: The Time is Now

The School of Image Arts is pleased to announce the opening of Maximum Exposure 27: The Time is Now on April 29, 2022 from 6-9pm. Our annual year-end exhibition, showcasing works by the best emerging Canadian and international artists attending X University’s School of Image Arts, is back! A curated selection of photography, installation, moving image and digital arts will be shown throughout the Image Arts building. We are also featuring an accessible online exhibition. MX27 The Time is Now celebrates the future of image-making as envisioned by the next generation of lens-based artists and creative professionals.

Opening remarks will take place from 7:00 to 7:30 pm in the School of Image arts lobby and commons. Students will be recognized and honoured for their achievements with awards generously donated by Stephen Bulger Gallery, Toronto Image Works, Edward Burtynsky, Akasha Art Projects, Downtown Camera, Gallery 44: Centre for Contemporary Photography, The Art Gallery of Ontario, Gallery TPW, and Ryerson Image Centre. Please join us for this happy occasion. All are welcome.

Catering will be provided by Me.n.u. Food Truck, offering their famous tacos just outside the School of Image Arts Building. There will be merchandise on sale as well. Come out and support our students and see great work!

As per Ryerson University guidelines, we are requiring all guests attending opening night to please wear a mask and fill out our COVID-19 screening form prior to arrival. Please register in advance and fill out all required information.
