Mahmoud Azadnia: TAZ (Darling)
A solo exhibition by MAHMOOD AZADNIA
July 23 – August 6, 2022
Online at ARTSY
Curated by Eran Art Gallery
The sound of horses’ hooves was approaching, and I was towards them while moving away from myself! It is as if I have fallen on the ground thousands of times in one moment and stood up.
This is TAZ. TAZ means darling in Persian language and use as horse’s attribute. Horses are majestic, strong and can display a broad range of emotions.
About the artist:
Mahmoud Azadnia was born in an artistic family in Iran in 1986. He started learning drawing and painting with his father when he was a little child. In 2010, Mahmoud began pursuing a professional career in the arts. Since then, he has participated in more than 20 group and solo exhibits in Iran and abroad, including in France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and Italy. By incorporating religious themes and in other collections with cartoon figures, he was able to win over audiences and art critics early on in his painting career. Then he could draw in art collectors and lovers with a distinctive collection he made from interlaced waves, horses, and occasionally thick forests. When confronted with a mythological atmosphere in this collection of works, the viewer appears to delve into an ancient tale’s depths until eventually freed with a sense of unknowable serenity. Sometimes the spectator experiences a contradiction between exhilaration and a leisurely pace of life as a result of the collection’s usage of cool hues and twisted horses in front of these trees.
Eran Gallery has curated a selection of current works by this up-and-coming artist for this exhibition and is presenting them to you on ARTSY, dear art enthusiasts.
