Eigensinn Farm is a one-hundred-acre farm in Singhampton, Ontario, Canada. This summer, Eigensinn Farm is hosting a brand new event. In celebration of its 30-year anniversary, starting August 10th, Chef Michael Stadtländer and his team will host the Living the Dream Project, an event that will take its guests on an immersive and enchanting culinary and artistic journey in nature, throughout the farm’s rolling hills, forests, and meadows. The event entails a magnificent 12-course culinary feast inspired by the wild and cultivated bounty of the farm. Each of the 12 dishes are enjoyed at a site-specific sculpture, installation, or creation, which are Michael’s personal visions and have been built and realized by Michael Stadtländer, his friends, family, and interns from the past as well as the present.

In the true sense of “Farm to Table”, Eigensinn Farm is a labor of love that is inspired by Michael’s roots from his childhood in Northern Germany, growing up on the family farm. Inspired by Hermann Hesse’s writings, the farm is rooted in the German writer’s philosophy of having “Eigensinn” which can be translated to “having a mind of your own”. The farm is a place where organic food and produce are raised and grown with the utmost care and respect for the environment. The unequaled quality and flavor of homegrown food can be savored in every bite.

The warm and charming hospitality of the Stadtländer family and team will greet you and provide you with an unforgettable and tantalizing evening. As you move through 12 different milieus throughout you will be enticed by the various creations in a serene and beautiful outdoor setting wherever you look. Each course will be carefully designed to complement the accompanying installation at each spot. Dishes are composed from fresh, farm-grown produce as well as locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Enjoy your courses on beautiful locally created pottery, or nature-inspired dishes, savoring every bite created with love. It will be an evening to inspire lifelong memories!
