The installation includes hundreds of comics telling stories of borders and border crossing shared and created by people across Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton; an audio installation of community voices created by Abbas Janmohamed; new works created by artists Sid Sharp, Aine Schryer O’Gorman, Aryana Rizvi and Catherine Moeller; and other artworks artefacts from 7 years of border crossing investigations by Sharada Eswar.

lines between things is part of the border crossing odyssey: a season of performances and presentation of work exploring the theme of borders and border crossings that have been created through Jumblies’ blue skies, red earth & tall pines project.

About Jumblies

Jumblies is a Toronto-based organization with a Canada-wide reach that engages in collaborations between professional artists and diverse people and places, mentoring and supporting others to do so as well. Jumblies expands where art happens, who gets to be part of it, what forms it takes and whose stories it tells. This imperative has led us outside of specialized art venues and to place radical inclusion at the core of our work. We say ‘Everyone is welcome!’ and embrace the joys and challenges, social and aesthetic, of meaning or trying to mean it.
