José Andrés Mora: Truth’s Entropy
September 9 – October 10, 2026
Opening Reception: September 9 | 7 – 9pm

Eliciting a sense of displacement stemming from his experience of migration, Mora writes short poetic texts and grafts their words onto digital media, creating spatial text installations that disembody the language from any specific speaker. Truth’s Entropy is a text-based exhibition where the permanence of memory teeters at the edge of temporal inevitability. Mora’s artworks draw from the artist’s experience of geographic distance to invite contemplation of a subject’s relationship to family and home. Texts live as projections that physically crawl across the gallery walls, and as Wi-Fi radio frequency emissions detected by nearby devices.

The 25th IA Current exhibition will examine how we can engage exploration, tinkering, and play to collectively reimagine an otherwise future for our technology and ourselves. How can we make play a conscious act, encouraging oddity and openness over consumption, with intention to experiment without reason? Call for artworks deadline September 6.

sonic cartography: tracing the sounds of everyday life is for anyone curious about sound, field recording, or the city as a listening environment. No audio experience required.

Over the span of the workshop, participants will explore guiding questions about attention and sound, traverse the area surrounding InterAccess with field recorders, and collaboratively weave sound recordings into a shared sonic collage.

Digital Mirrors: Creating Interactive Projections for Artists and Dancers is for artists looking to design motion-interactive projections and explore inter-arts collaboration with dancers.

Over the span of the workshop, participants will learn techniques for manipulating camera feeds, explore collaboration techniques translating new media language, work in small groups to create a mini project featuring interactive projection and dance.

Self as Dataset: Animating the Body with Machine Learning

Self As Dataset: Animating the Body with Machine Learning is for artists interested in AI and animation who want more authorship and control over their data than browser-based tools allow, without needing high-performance GPU systems or advanced technical background.

Over the span of the workshop, participants will unpack the gap between ethical intention and practical access in AI art, build simple datasets, translate movement into animated outputs, reflect on authorship, consent, and embodiment in contemporary AI systems through live demonstration, collaborative experimentation, and discussion.

A call for artworks for the 25th annual IA Current exhibition, curated by Komal Lally. We invite submissions of new media works that are process-driven, chaotic, colourful, and nonsensical. Submitted works should examine the notion of what play means in artists’ lives and how it is impacted or upheld through technology.

InterAccess is an OAC Exhibition recommender, a program that offers financial support towards upcoming, confirmed public exhibitions. Submit via the Ontario Arts Council’s NOVA portal.

Our programs support art forms that integrate technology, fostering and supporting the full cycle of art and artistic practice through education, production, and exhibition. Accessibility
We are located on the second floor of the building, which is accessible by two flights of stairs or an elevator. The front entrance has an automatic push door and is accessible by ramp or a short flight of stairs. Inside, all InterAccess facilities are on the same level, including a single-user accessible washroom.
