Fine Arts Diploma
Over three-years of full-time study, students learn visual expression based on their own concerns and experiences. Starting with a challenging foundation year, through to the advanced studios, apprenticeships and exhibition opportunities of their final year, students find and develop their capacity for creative thinking.

Portfolio Certificate
The one-year Portfolio Certificate Program is a unique opportunity provided for students who need to develop and expand their present body of work in preparation for application to university, college or art school. This intensive course of study allows for a high degree of interaction with working professional artists in a studio setting.

Gallery Exhibitions
Each diploma student is required to exhibit their work in the Lee Matasi Gallery at least once during their third year of study and preferably before they apply for any of the off-site venues. In addition, OSA third year graduating students are offered the option of exhibiting their work in the gorgeous professional gallery setting of the Lorraine “Fritzi” Yale Gallery in The Great Canadian Theatre Company

Teaching Art to Everyone Since 1879
“The school is one of the tiny perfect places of learning – I’d say the best in the country. You can almost feel the talent who passed before, David Milne, Richard Gorman. It is so loosely bound and very alive, almost like an individual.” — Kit Collins, Fine Arts Diploma graduate
