New courses coming this summer:

Arabic Typography Workshop | June 1
This one-day workshop provides a brief overview of the history of Arabic calligraphy, exploring typographic principles and techniques. Students will explore letterforms of different styles with distinct origins. The workshop will include lectures, demonstrations, and in-class studio work

Drawing Studio for Families | June 1- June 22
This studio course is designed for parents and children, ages 6-14. Together families will learn basic hand drawing techniques and develop observational skills to create drawings of architecture, nature, and the human form. Collaborative class activities explore line, shape, value, composition, negative space, and perspective.

Game Design Studio 1: Introduction to Unity | May 16 – June 20
This course introduces students to the art of game design and production using the popular game engine, Unity. Topics include importing and working with 2D and 3D models, setting up game objects, using basic scripts, applying materials, lighting, and sound.

Intermediate Abstract Painting Studio | July 10 – August 14
In this intermediate studio course students will create a series of abstract paintings that demonstrate their unique visual language. Students will learn about efficient studio practice exploring strategies in surface preparation and working on multiple paintings at once.

Intermediate Mould Making Studio: Digital Fabrication and Materials | July 30 – August 15
This is an intermediate course that explores the use of digital fabrication tools in the process of mould making and casting. The interplay between technological and hand-built strategies is the foundation of this course. Projects can incorporate 3D modelled, printed or CNC milled elements and laser cut patterns for form building.
