Come Up To My Room 2020: The Gladstone Hotel’s Annual Art and Design Exhibition

All four floors of the Gladstone Hotel come alive with 24, site-specific art and design installations created by 47+ artists! Come Up To My Room (CUTMR) 2020, the Gladstone Hotel’s annual 4-day alternative art and design exhibition runs from January 16-19.

CUTMR is curated by consideration of the whole body of work of an artist/designer, not by individual project. This important distinction allows artists/designers take risks and create brand new work. No one (including the curators) knows exactly what the exhibition will look like until it’s installed the day before!

The Gladstone is excited to welcome two new curators for 2020. Following a distinguished line of past curators we introduce Megan Feheley, a two spirit/non-binary/ililiw (Moose Cree)/settler interdisciplinary artist and curator, and Astrid Ho, a visual artist, curator and instructor, with Lee Petrie, the Gladstone’s Director of Exhibitions.

The artists/designers are on site throughout the show, to engage in conversation and make their work come alive.
