Help Shape the Future of Arts & Culture in Toronto
Your opinion matters. Get involved and help shape the future of arts, culture and creative industries in Toronto.
The City of Toronto, in collaboration with Toronto Arts Council and Foundation, is developing a new Action Plan for Toronto’s Culture Sector that will guide cultural services, policy and programming over the next ten years. This plan will set out an ambitious vision to strengthen Toronto’s cultural sector and creative industries, enabling more opportunities for creatives and audiences across the city to engage with the arts. It will provide recommendations across arts, culture, museums, cultural heritage, creative industries, film and entertainment sectors.
Whether you work in creative industries, are an artist or simply enjoying going to events and activities, we want to hear from you. Here are three ways you can share your feedback:
1. Attend a Virtual Town Hall
February 15, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
February 22, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Register to attend a virtual town hall to share what priorities you think will help support Toronto’s culture sector and improve access to the arts for all residents across the city. Both virtual Town Halls are identical in form and include a presentation followed by break-out room sessions where you can provide feedback. Pre-registration is required.
2. Take the Survey
Fill out an online survey about your experiences in arts and culture across Toronto. Your feedback will help support decision-making and shape priorities for the City’s new culture plan.
The survey closes on March 3 at 11:59 p.m. ET
3. Host Your Own Community Conversation
Follow the step-by-step instructions outlined in our Community Conversation Toolkit and host your own discussion in a style and setting that suits your needs. Connect with friends, family, colleagues or neighbours to discuss how you experience arts and culture today and how it can be improved in the future.
Share any feedback gathered from your conversation by March 3 at 11:59 p.m. ET, following the instructions outlined in the toolkit.
