Art Zones & Routes

Visit the Canadian Art Hop website to learn about where your Art Zone is! There are Art Zones spanning from coast to coast and many Zones have multiple Routes for visitors to follow along. Routes are curated avenues where visitors can follow along and visit multiple galleries in an area.

In the coming weeks, special programming for our participating spaces will become available. Tours of exhibitions with curators, openings and parties, artist talks, and more! Use the Routes to plan out your days and maximize the weekend!

Passports

Why travel abroad when you can travel close to home? Visitors going to participating spaces throughout the May 1 – 4 weekend can find Canadian Art Hop Passports to help keep track of all the galleries visited and to keep as a memento of the weekend. Participating galleries and spaces are easily discovered with identifying posters in their doors and windows correlating to the Passports.

In case you are unable to find an official passport at a participating space, you can download from our website and print it out!

In addition to the passports, visitors who go to three or more spaces* over the Canadian Art Hop weekend are eligible to enter our Prize giveaway!

Win A Unique Print!

The Canadian Art Hop is excited to share the partnership between the Canadian Art Hop weekend and Smokestack for the chance to win one of fifteen unique prints by Hamilton artist, Laine Groeneweg. These prints were made specifically for the May 1 – 4, 2025 weekend, and bring a sense of nostalgia while also representing the many different art spaces of our Canadian art world. Each print is a 22″ x 28″ hand pulled silkscreen, which is signed by Laine and stamped by Smokestack.

How to Enter
Visit at least three participating spaces* and record them on your Canadian Art Hop passport. Submit photos of your passport to our email or Instagram by May 4, 2025 at 7pm PDT. Contest open to Canadian citizens. *For more details please visit our website.
